With The Barrakee Mystery I went far back in time, 1929, for my first Australian selection. My second will also be an Upfield/Napoleon Bonaparte story. There is an interesting hook that I can't resist describing. Stay tuned.

I'm rounding out my Australia category with another Arthur W. Upfield, Napoleon Bonaparte mystery. This one appealed to me because it had real world implications when someone tried to apply Upfield's method of disposing of bodies to a real murder.

I'v read several Tim Winton books. Cloudstreet is one of his best. Powerful ending—perhaps the only one he could have written for Fish and Quick/

Welcome onboard. I don´t know what has gone wrong with your Australasia links, but now I have removed them all and I hope the widget won´t tease you tomorrow.

I meant to add the name of the book: It's Colour Scheme by Ngaio Marsh

Sorry, Dorte, I am trying to add Dragon Man by Garry Disher but I must have added too many in a short time as nos 49 and 50 are both showing a previous book review instead. Please delete, sorry! (Maxine)
