My review of The Tales of Ise-A Japanese work from the 10th century

I am looking forward to seeing the reviews coming in!

Mel: you cannot be looking forward to it as much as I am :D

But it is so annoying that Mr Linky has gone awry right now.

Thank you for the very first 2010 global reading challenge review!

One Night at the Call Center-Indian Novel

I think I will go for the medium level instead of the easy level-

suggestion-why not add as a bonus category in addition to Antartica a novel set in an Island not attached to any of the big land mass groups-Polynesian Islands for example-Bermuda, The Azores, the Maldives-these places all have their own cultures-then you could let people read that as their bonus read instead of a book on Anartica

Mel: I can see you are one of those super-fast students who needs extra challenges all the time :D

I may change the challenge next year if people want me to host it again, but I don´t think I shall make any adjustments this year.

I shouldn't do this late at night. I managed to not include the title of the title of the book I read, the godfather of Kathmandu by John burdett.

Sorry Dorte / Kerrie, I tried to correct Turkey and I have duplicated my entrance.

I don't know where the author is from, but the story takes place in Taiwan so I think it counts.

Dorte H said...

Beth: you made me curious, but I have not been able to find out either. He certainly seems to know something about the environment and culture, though, so he certainly counts.

Is it okay that I picked a book that took place in China for part of the time? I want to make sure that it still counts even though the story took place in two places-- China and United States.

Dorte H said...

Beastmomma: of course it is okay. As long as you don´t let it count as TWO continents ;)

beastmomma said...

Thank you Dorte! Yes, I will only count it for one place.

I had read some of Ibrahim Nasrallah's poetry and this was a chance to read one of his novels. I read Prairies of Fever.

Oddly, if you click on my link, it says the blog does not exist. But if you click on the link, you'll find that it does...

Dorte H said...

Seana: these link spells are tricky sometimes, aren´t they? ;D

Soory— but #46 linked to my sestina and not to my review. #47 is the correct link.

Dorte H said...

It should be okay now.

Oops - meant to Linky up that I read The Samurai's Garden, set in Japan.
