Wrap-up Post

Some of the participants of this challenge are insatiable readers who may well be able to finish the Global Reading Challenge before I imagine it possible.

So just to prove that I am with it: this is where you post a link when you have finished the challenge (unless you should choose to upgrade your level).

Here are some icons to display on your blog when you've achieved the levels.

Hello Dorte - what about some images people can put on their blog to boast about their achievement?

Dorte H said...

Kerrie: well, *scratching my head* I can´t say I have thought about that. Did you have any great ideas?

I'm thinking that at the rate some people are going, you might want to have some new Everest level. Not for the likes of me, mind you, but I suspect some people are going to be done by mid-March!

Dorte H said...

Seana: you are right, I am sure, but as long as they don´t expect me to do the same ... :D

They can always sign in under another name and take a second round.

Oh, that's a good idea.

Dorte, I've created some copiable images, but maybe we've got some creative people who could do better, and email them to me at kerrie.smith at esc.net.au

Kerrie, they are fine, but I am trying to find a beautiful map instead of that old globus. I am very busy right now, though, so if someone else can find a pretty (global) picture of some kind they are very welcome.

Mr Linky pop up to say my name mustn't be more than 80 characters. I meant to type:
JoV (bibliojunkie) - medium level, surely that is not exceeded 80 char? :)

anyway, here's my wrap-up:

I just realized that this is where I should leave my wrap-up. Thanks for setting this up. I think I'll move on to the level beyond Expert.

I'm joining late so I'll just do the elementary challenge.

Congrats to all the others who've completed various levels. I've been on hiatus in terms of global reading - instead reading a lot of US/UK/NZ authors for various newspaper reviews and interview-based feature articles etc I've had to do. Has been fun though, so can't complain (have interviewed Michael Connelly, Michael Robotham, Val McDermid, Peter James, Peter Robinson, PD James, James Lee Burke, Simon Kernick, and a few Kiwi authors in the past few weeks).

Now it's time to get back on the GRC horse - technically I only have my third South American and my third African novel to go to complete the Extremist Level, in terms of reading - has been that way for a couple of months - but I might 'redo' a couple of other continents to add further countries or diff authors etc...

It is great to see that so many participants move on to new levels!

It has ended up being a REAL challenge Dorte

Hi, I've just managed to finish the Easy Level - since I only started in August, I think that's quite an achievement!

I thought that I would ace this challenge, but turns out I came up short. Here's hoping for a better outcome in 2011
